teacherThe 2014 Nominated Teacher of the Year is Sr. Muna. She is a Islamic Studies and Qur’an teacher for grades 5 – 8. She has been teaching in Darul Arqam SW for several years and is proud to be a member of the DASW staff. She recently received her Ijazah, and we are very proud of her and her accomplishments. Another teacher has quoted, “Sr. Muna is the true representation of the model modern Muslima, and she is an inspiration to all.” A student has quoted, “Sr. Muna is really kind and nice, and I enjoy her Islamic Studies class the most because I feel like I am learning so much information about my religion that I didn’t know before.” A 5th grade student stated, “Sr. Muna is so patient with us, and she is truly appreciative of all students who always try their best to read Qur’an, especially those whose native tongue is not Arabic because she says they are trying to learn Qur’an and a whole new language at the same time.”
